Andy Warhol in Madrid: Warhol and Dance, New York in the 50’s

andy warhol madrid

The Ivory Press has just inaugarated an interesting exhibition called Warhol and Dance, New York in the 50’s, containing many of of his earliest pen drawings which he produced whilst watching dance practices in New York during the early 1950's. In many ways Warhol captured the essence of the city's booming dance scene through these sketches. This exhibition promises to give a fascinating insight in the artist before he went on to produce his major works like Campbell's Soup Can. The exhibition runs until 11th December.

Address: The Ivory Press, C/ Comandante Zorita 46, Madrid (near metro Santiago Bernabeu)
