Dia de Hispanidad in Madrid

You might not be aware but tomorrow is one of Spain's most important holidays- Día de Hispanidad, which celebrates the discovery of the Americas by Columbus. Every year a massive millitary parade takes place on Paseo de Castellana and celebrations are held in Plaza de Colón. The atmosphere is carnival like and many people from the different latin communities in Madrid take part. Similar events take place in other latin countries. If you are here, it's well worth going to see.

  1. This REALLY helped me with my project on Madrid's festivals. It's very fascinating to learn and see what the holiday is all about!

  2. Thanks for your comment. We are happy to read we were helpful. Good luck with the project!
