Durán Arte y Subastas is one of Spain´s best kept secret… A family business, the Durán family are highly respected jewellers and auctioneers and can be found at 19 Goya Street at the unique Barrio Salamanca in Madrid.

We found a very interesting furniture and paintings auction to take place on Thursday, February 21. What called our attention is the collection of manuscripts and original photographs belonging to General Franco.

Selection of Black and white originals of General Franco.

The collection runs from 1892 until his death in 1975. The auction includes letters, signed documents, personal photographs, postcards and 1800 original photographs of his personal and professional life.
The collection includes 33 postcards handwritten and signed for his first sweetheart, Sofía Subirán.
25,000€ is the starting price.

The auction also includes furniture, coins, paper money, stamps, sculptures, art, carpets, silver and jewellery.
