High speed trains between Madrid and Valencia

For those of you who might be planning on travelling around Spain, it has just been announced that as of 18th December, high speed AVE trains will circulate between Madrid and Valencia. This now means journey times of around an hour and a half between the two cities. The new service will make a stop at the historic UNESCO city of Cuenca (well worth a day trip from Madrid for any tourists) and will operate at hourly intervals. For more details see renfe.es.
