A Mass for the Family will be celebrated at the Plaza de Colon in Madrid on January 2, which starts at 10 am. Pope Benedict XVI will appear live on video from the Vatican with a blessing for all the assistants.
The mega event, hosted by the Diocesis of Madrid, for the "The Christian Family: Hope for Europe" can expect half a million to a million faithful in attendance.
