Treasures of the Hermitage come to the Prado

One hundred and eighty treasures normally on display at the Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg  will be coming to the Prado Museum from this week. The objects date from the 5th centry AD upto the 20th century and they include drawings, paintings, archaeological arcifacts and other decorative pieces produced by greats including Rubens, Picasso, Caravaggio, Renoir and Matisse. The exhibition will open on Tuesday 8th November and will be open everyday (even on Mondays when the rest of the museum is closed) until 25th March 2012.
