Organised by the Madrid fair ground, IFEMA, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid #MBFSM is the showcase for creation and design in Spain.
42 designers presented their Fall/Winter collections 2013/ 2014 collections.
Over a period of five days, the main purpose of this showcase is to promote the world of Spanish fashion in all its creative diversity, by presenting the latest ideas for Autumn/Winter 2013-14 by 42 established designers and several up-and-coming designers of the moment.
Known es EGO, twenty young design talents also presented their collections.
We also found that ebay is selling fashion on ebay!

The Fashion Showcase for Design and Creation in Spain
Spanish fashion dresses up. Once known as the “Pasarela Cibeles”, for the iconic Cibeles fountain in Madrid, MERCEDES- BENZ FASHION WEEK MADRID (MBFWM) kicks off on February 18 hosted by Ifema in Madrid to show off the Autumn/Winter 2013-14 collections.
Five days, where the world can see Spanish fashion in its full diversity and creativity. Monday 18th February, features Andrés Sardá, Francis Montesinos, Hannibal Laguna, Miguel Palacio, Teresa Helbig, Ana Locking and Juana Martín.
Tuesday, February 19 open up with a double show presented by Rabaneda and María Barros followed by Ailanto, Roberto Torretta, Roberto Verino, Victorio & Lucchino, Angel Schlesser, and the fashion jeweler, Aristocrazy.
Wednesday 20th kicks off with another joint show by Ion Fiz and Sara Coleman followed by Davidelfín, Juanjo Oliva, AA de Amaya Arzuaga, Duyos, Devota y Lomba and Agatha Ruiz de la Prada.
The double fashion show presented by Rabaneda and María Barros will open the fashion show programmed on Tuesday 19th February. This event will be followed by the shows presented by Ailanto, Roberto Torretta, Roberto Verino, Victorio & Lucchino, Angel Schlesser, and the firm, Aristocrazy, which specializes in fashion jewelry. In effect, this jewelry firm will stage its second show at MBFWM a year after it made its spectacular debut on the catwalk.
Wednesday 20th will kick off with a double fashion show presented by Ion Fiz and Sara Coleman, followed by the presentation of collections from Davidelfín, Juanjo Oliva, AA de Amaya Arzuaga, Duyos, Devota y Lomba and Agatha Ruiz de la Prada.
Thursday 21st February, host Sita Murt, TCN, Etxeberria and Moisés Nieto, Maria Escoté and Martin Lamothe. Miguel Marinero and Jesús Lorenzo will show fur.
Friday 22nd February is for EGO, 10 young designers chosen specially from the world of up and coming Spanish fashion.

Madrid Horse Week 2012 from 20 to 23 December
We have a video of this event: It was great and hopefully it will be repeated this year too!!!
For horse and equestrian event lovers, the Madrid Horse Week 2012 celebrates its first edition in IFEMA from 20 to 23 December.
The Madrid Horse Week Banco Sabadell will offer offer different competitions, exhibitions, horse art and fun events for kids.
The multidisciplinary equestrian event offers various sports competitions and horse shows for all ages.
The Olympic dressage Champion, Beatriz Ferrer-Salat, will be offering a Dressage Exhibition. The event includes a Show Jumping Event with over a 100 international show jumpers participating. There will be concerts and parades.
The Madrid Horse Week will also have a village with shops offering textiles, food, and equestrian products.

FRUIT ATTRACTION- Spain´s leading fruit and vegetable fair
The 4th edition of FRUIT ATTRACTION, the leading event for the fruit and vegetable industry organised by IFEMA and FEPEX (Federación Española de Asociaciones de Productores Exportadores de Frutas, Hortalizas, Flores y Plantas Vivas) was held from 24 to 26 October at IFEMA in Madrid.

MULAFEST – the one stop for your tattoo, art, music, dance, skate, BMX and petrol-fuelled needs
From the 11th to the 14th
of July, 50,000 square metres of Feria de Madrid (IFEMA) will be
transformed into one easy to digest platform of street culture.
It's the first project from the people
at MULARED. They may come from different backgrounds but together
they have one common cause – to show the public an alternative way
of living. And they've done just that. MULAFEST offers a bit of
everything for your perusal, or if you're game, your participation.
For the ink enthusiasts, there's live
tattooing. But for those who aren't so committed, there's one area
where you can test out tattoos without the permanency.
“El Garaje” is for the petrol
enthusiasts. It's where you'll find customised motorbikes and classic
American car shows. For a bit more adrenalin, head to the skate and
BMX park. Some of the top skaters and riders will battle it out
against the clock across a course of railings and stairs. Up and
comers can also show off their skills in an open competition.
But don't despair if you can't kickflip
successfully, there are other activities for the coordinated and the
creative. The art area is where you can create your own masterpiece
on a T-shirt or skateboard. Then there's MULAFEST dance masterclasses
where you can practice how to pop, lock and krump.
To get you all into the mood in the
lead up to the event, the brains at MULAFEST are giving you an early
taste of what's to come. From the 7th to the 10th
of July, the metro commute is going to get a whole lot more
entertaining. A series of mini stages will be set up for different
musical performances across various stations.
So how much does it cost to join all of
this? For one day you're looking at €15
euros. For the full four days it will set you back €38
or €50 if you need car
parking as well.

VII International Conference for the Promotion of the Consumption of Fruit and Vegetables and Vegetables
At the IFEMA Madrid 18-19th October
"5 a day" sets out an ambitious project of internationalization. Such project, aimed to go abroad and beyond the territorial borders of our country in order to spread the message from Spain as the biggest producer country of high quality fruits and vegetables in the world, is focused on the development of specific projects such as the organization of the VII International Conference for the Promotion of the Consumption of Fruit and Vegetables, to be held on the 18th and 19th October under the slogan "5 a day, a matter of health".
The Conference will take place in Madrid, and the Madrid Showground Area (Instituto Ferial de Madrid-IFEMA) will be the chosen enclave to hold such meeting, which, due to its modern equipment and large experience hosting this kind of activities, shall provide with all the necessary facilities for the event to take its course in the best possible conditions.
On its seventh edition, 5 a Day Spain will host this event placing especial emphasis on the aspects related to the horticultural sector and the fight to eradicate childhood obesity. A crucially important Conference for all the sectors involved in "5 a day" movement, from those linked to the environment of fruit and vegetables, to the ones related to health and human nutrition.
