THE PIC NIC EXPERIENCE BY ABC SERRANO

The Picnic Experience by ABC Serrano is an anti-crisis venue for professionals who live and work in the area and require an open space in which to enjoy the outdoors and exclusivity in the privileged location, of the financial, commercial and residential (around Calle Serrano and Paseo de la Castellana) district of Madrid.

The Pic Nic Experience is open from May 30 to July 1, Monday through Thursday, from 13:30 to 21:00 Friday from 13:00 to 16:30, with special hours on match days Euro (you can watch the games that are played on Friday and Saturday).

Located in one of the most emblematic buildings of Madrid, the ABC Serrano shopping center –once the buiding that housed the Abc daily newspaper- offers unbeatable views of the Castellana.

The prestigious chef, Pedro Larumbe, offers a picnic menu that is healthy and light with a choice of gazpacho or crudités, salad or two sandwiches (one vegetarian), with either fruit or ice cream for dessert.

Excellent price of 7€ for a single basket and 12€ for two!

Located at Serrano 61 at the very top, MUF reccomends a a delicious cold Freixenet cava to accompany your picnic.

MADRID SUNDAY SHOPPING













We went out today to check out the Madrid Sunday shopping organized in the Barrio Salamanca from May 27 to June 27.
Most of the shops are open and offering discounts and special prices. The bars are offering a beer and a tapa for 3€.

Every so often you can find a stand with these girls offering info- in English- and they can also find a cycle to take two to take up and down with your heavy shopping!

All over the Barrio Salamanca you´ll find lots of shoes, all designed by Zapatos de España or the Spanish footwear industry. On June 10 there is a photo competition!

What more can you ask for? Madrid, great shopping, discounts, prizes and great weather!!!

Ryanair: profit and airfares up

Ryanair, everyone's most hated airline has announced profits of 374 millions euros, yet has the cheek to raise its fare prices. It plans to hike up airfares in order to pay for increasing fuel costs and other industry costs. This is just another example of Ryanair's greed and another way of increasing their profits from the pockets of the consumer, along with their stupid fees to check in luggage and penalties if you don't print your boarding pass at home. We say avoid Ryanair at all costs.
