Russian Red
Singer-songwriter Russian Red (Lourdes Hernandez) in recent years has become one of the most significant artists of the Spanish indie music scene. She began performing in small bars in Madrid, then in theatres before stepping onto stages around the world. She has a gift to compose songs, an exceptional voice and an innate ability to transmit and excite her audience. With her first album, “I Love Your Glasses”, she sold over 40,000 copies and earned a golden disc.
On May 10, 2011 Russian Red launched “Fuerteventura”, her eagerly awaited second album, which is to be released in a number of countries across four continents.
If with her first album Russian Red became primarily known as a songwriter with character and future potential, “Fuerteventura” shows her as a singer opening borders to Spanish music. Russian Red has created a subtle, delicate style with much more smoothness, many beautiful hues and surprising twists.
